What we thought was going to have a regular lesson but we were visited by games designer and BAFTA nominee Rosie Ball who came to tell us about what she'd done since leaving university and how being at Long Road helped her with other things including work at university and winning in her competition and possibly winning a BAFTA.
This it the link to her website.

Once I had put the new york sequence with the soundtrack I made I then had add credits using final cut. When I finished I exported it and uploaded it to Vimeo

New York Garageband Soundtrack Session
I put the new york final cut sequence into garageband and made a song to have as a soundtrack in the background of the New York sequence. Once I finished the soundtrack I removed the new york sequence and then save the soundtrack and add it to the new york sequence using final cut
New York Final Cut Editing Session
I was given a selection on clips of new york and had to go on final cut to edit these clips anyway i liked to make approximately 1 minute and eventually it would look like the opening sequence of a movie.

Logo ident production session
In this session i took my rough logo design and made it in Photoshop using an image of a plasma TV with the words 'Sam Productions' on screen. When i had finished i exported each individual layer and am planning to import into final cut and have the two words fly at the viewer as it it was a 3DTV.
The most difficult thing about working in photoshop is trying to work out what buttons do what job and how to do certain thngs with the age(e.g. scale the image down). I eventually figured how to do it and became more confident with what i was doing.
I haven't used final cut yet so i cannot say much about it at the moment.
I am pleased that although my logo isn't the best looking one I am proud of what i did as it took me alot of time to work on it.

Media production company logo planning session
This was a slighly less complicated task, probably the easiest so far, where we were shown a customised logo created by Steve, after seeing his we were given some paper to do our own and I had many ideas and eventually had the idea to have the words 'Sam Productions' diplayed on a 3D TV and then suddenly it comes out of the TV as i love 3D movies.
Logo research session
First of all we were shown logos of various well-known companies such as Apple, Microsoft and Nike and were told to go and search for 2 logos that we like, i picked Sony and Facebook. I had to write information such as company name and what it does and then I had to draw both logos and annotate it, writing and font, colour, size and shape. Then I had to write what i thought the design elements might suggest.
Photoshop Skills Session 1: Club Flyer Task
In this session i went to search for two images on Flikr to have as the background for my club flyer but these two images had to be made into one using Photoshop. The first image just had 'DUBSTEP' written on it with smaller vesions of the word within the word itself, the second was the symbol of a musical note. Just like the first session this involved opening the two images in Photoshop and using the layers and making one image. I had to move the image around and scale them down to fit and then i had to write down a few details including special offers and the name of the club. The club i decided to create was called Dubstep and Stuff with dubstep being the major genre of music and other songs being selected from the top 40 songs in the chart. This is the end result.
Photoshop Skills Session1: Earth & Eye Exercise
In this session I went on the Flikr to get two images one of the earth and one of an eye. Using photoshop i opened both images and did various things such as remove the black background from the earth and scale the earth down in size. I put them both on the same page and using individual layers to create one image. The end result looks like this.
